There are few things more exciting to tech enthusiasts than word of a new product on its way. Such initial news is usually followed by rumours of the features this product will boast and anticipated release dates. Thanks to the credence of Phone Arena and an anonymous tipster, we’ve been blessed with word of a new Motorola Droid Razr M HD to be coming soon.
The supposed Motorola Droid Razr M HD (its name according to the tipster) will of course be the new and improved version of the Droid Razr M (known outside of its home country the United States as the Razr M XT905). But what features can we expect from the device?
As entailed by the name, the Droid Razr M HD is expected to boast an HD display, which would be an improvement on the qHD one on the current Razr M. This HD screen is rumoured to be 4.5 inches.
We can also expect the Motorola’s upcoming device to boast Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (which will be upgradeable to Android 4.2).
It is believed that the phone’s processor will not change from the Droid Razr M, and will thus remain a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 processor.
Its battery will be a 3,300 mAh (similar to that of the Razr Maxx HD). This is great news as the battery of the Razr Maxx HD is simply unbeatable.
Brilliant battery life aside however, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, there doesn’t seem to be much truly groundbreaking and scintillating to be excited about with the Droid Razr M HD.
Good Price for Good Quality
However, the Droid Razr M HD is expected to be offered at around £100 on contract, which would put it in the category of mid-end smartphones. Consumers would therefore be getting a solid, quality and reliable smartphone at an affordable price, which is precisely what Motorola seem set out to provide.
It isn’t anything to get too excited over, but it’s something to look out for at least.
